Clinical Quality Manager

As a Clinical Quality Manager at Athena Care Homes, you will be responsible for supporting our fantastic General Managers and clinical teams to ensure an exceptional level of clinical care and governance while we continue making moments for our residents and delivering high quality care. 

About the role: 
As a Clinical Quality Manager, you’ll play a key part ensuring all our care meets all statutory and regulatory requirements for clinical care and governance, whilst supporting our Clinical Care Managers to lead our teams with strong knowledge, developing their leadership and management, and ensuring the highest standards are achieved in all areas of ours homes.

We'll need the Clinical Quality Manager to lead and support with research projects to improve on clinical practice, and support recruitment and induction of clinical posts together with our Home Managers.

Salary: 
£55,000 to £60,000 DOE.

Shift Pattern: 
37.5 hours per week, with 1-in-6 weekends on call and occasional other weekend work as required.

Location: 
Regional role based in our 7 homes located in Peterborough, Cambridge, Kings Lynn, Ipswich and March.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • To be central to our care by assisting, motivating and inspiring passion into our care team to deliver exceptional outcomes in care. Identifying and addressing areas for clinical improvement within our homes and communicating this with the wider team.
  • Support recruitment and training of Clinical Care Managers. Celebrating every individual and helping our team to achieve their potential, whilst aligning with our values.
  • Monitor and audit care quality and delivery within the homes and monitor progress of action plans.
  • Oversee clinical compliance within the homes in accordance with internal and external regulations and requirements, guiding and training others on this where necessary.
  • Ensure all residents have robust, person centred care plans and risk assessments in place, that triangulate all relevant information.
     

Training, Skills & Experience Required: 

  • A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first. 
  • Qualified Nurse
  • Experience in a similar senior care position in care homes is desirable. 
  • Audits and Quality management experience.
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Proven track record for leading, empowering, supporting & motivating a team.
