Induction
Here at Athena, we know that at the heart of our organisation are our wonderful staff; they are the ones providing our residents with outstanding care and support. We therefore place paramount importance on ensuring that every single member of our team attends Athena’s induction training programme. We are strongly committed to ensuring that our team are happy, motivated, supported and confident in their role enabling them to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents.
As a new team member joining Athena, you will be enrolled on a 5-day bespoke induction which consists of a mixture of award-winning e-learning, in-house face-to-face theory and practical learning workshops which will be delivered by our Regional Training Team.
Our induction begins with introducing team members to their role within Athena and our company visions and values.
We then cover the 15 standards of the care certificate via the theory and practical workshop content, all new team members receive their care certificate at the end of the 5-day induction programme.
Our learning workshops are fun, interactive and cater to all learning needs. If you are new to the care sector our material will help you to develop your knowledge and skills specific to your new role.
Updating your learning and development
We provide face-to-face refresher training on a yearly basis to ensure you are up to date with any changes to legislation or practice. This will be delivered by a combination of e-Learning or one of our regional group trainers depending on the subject content. This will again be a mixture of theory and practical learning.
Update training is also protected time for you to ask any questions about current practice and have the opportunity to refresh your knowledge. Now that you are confident in your role, we will look at delving deeper into additional learning, relevant to your job role.
